Bonita Menorca S.L. streamlines workforce management with TimeMoto
Located on the beautiful Balearic islands, Bonita Menorca S.L. is a company that thrives on tourism. With a wine-making business and three restaurants, activities are highly seasonal, with fluctuating numbers of employees. Not surprisingly, flexibility is an important quality they look for in an employee time tracking system.
As the head of human resources and administration, Susana Caudepón faced the challenge of managing the clocking in and out of a fluctuating number of employees, which could reach up to 150 during the high season. When she joined the company, several years ago, Bonita Menorca had already transitioned from a paper-based system for recording employee work hours to a digital solution. This system included a physical terminal where employees could clock in and out, and software installed on a local PC for payroll management.
Nonetheless, it was transitioning to a cloud-based solution that provided the solution that Bonita Menorca needed. Implemented in 2023, TimeMoto Cloud addressed the shortcomings of the previous system, offering features that streamlined the clocking process and made payroll management significantly faster. “We tested it and it really complemented the shortcomings that our previous system had,” Susana noted.
“I used to spend almost two days calculating the overtime from the week before. Now we’re talking about an hour and a half.”
Employees clock in and out using RFID cards or keyfobs at multiple locations, with supervisors ensuring accuracy. Susana performs a second check, adds absences, and manages new hires by creating users and planning timetables. “The workers clock in and out with their cards at each of the locations. The person in charge of each location checks that those clock-ins are correct,” Susana described. The system’s intuitive features and effective support have made it easier to allocate costs to different centres, even when employees work at multiple locations.
TimeMoto has drastically reduced the time spent on overtime calculations from almost two days to just an hour and a half per week. Payroll management is now more efficient, saving both time and money. “I used to spend like a full day, normally on Mondays and part of Tuesdays, to calculate the overtime from the week before. Now we’re talking about an hour and a half, max,” Susana shared. The flexibility of paying per user, especially beneficial for a seasonal business, has been highly appreciated. “Being able to pay less in Winter because you have almost no workers or no workers at all, and then if you have to pay more in the Summer, enables you to save a lot of money.”
All in all, Bonita Menorca has found TimeMoto to be a complete and efficient solution, offering good value for money. The system’s intuitive features, effective support, and flexibility have made a significant positive impact on their workforce management. “Complete and efficient. Good value for money,” Susana concluded.
